HE HAS NOT ABANDONED YOU!

One of the fundamental truths I learnt from a great servant of God, a father of the faith the late Reverend Simon Malya, is the value God places on His children. Indeed, the truth about the God of the Bible is that He establishes and keeps covenant relationships, never breaks a covenant, an agreement between Himself and His people, conditional or otherwise. He will always keep His side though we often easily walk away! He reminded His people, the Israelites every now and again that they were His by covenant, even when they had fallen into sin and complete disregard of His commandments. He remained their God and Father. We see this being demonstrated in one of the worst times in Israel's history, the Babylonian conquest and captivity. God reiterates to them through His Prophet, "the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has not abandoned Israel and Judah. He is still their God, even though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.”(Jeremiah 51:5, NLT). Friend, I want to remind you if you have a covenant relationship with God though believing in Christ His son (sealed by the blood shed in his death) that HE HAS NOT ABANDONED and will not abandon YOU, no matter what! Lord, thank you that I'm called your child by covenant sealed through the death and resurrection of your son Jesus Christ. Melphon Mayaka
